Butchersmith Shop is seeking an experienced, results\-driven,\nand proactive Butchery Supervisor<\/b> to oversee the daily operations of our\nbutchery shop. We are looking for a leader who not only manages operations\nefficiently but also drives business growth through excellent customer service,\nstrategic decision\-making, sales initiatives, and team leadership.
<\/p>

The ideal candidate must have hands\-on experience\nsupervising a butchery in a retail environment such as a supermarket,\ndepartmental store, mall, or butchery. This individual should possess strong\ncommercial awareness, take ownership of departmental performance, identify\ngrowth opportunities, and consistently improve customer satisfaction and\nrevenue.

Responsibilities:<\/b>

  • Supervise\n and coordinate all daily activities within the shop.
    <\/li>
  • Ensure\n proper meat cutting, processing, packaging, display, and storage according\n to company standards.
    <\/li>
  • Maintain\n excellent hygiene, food safety, and sanitation practices at all times.
    <\/li>
  • Monitor\n inventory levels and minimize wastage through effective stock management.
    <\/li>
  • Ensure\n equipment is properly maintained and report any faults promptly.
    <\/li><\/ul>
    • Drive\n daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
      <\/li>
    • Develop\n and implement initiatives to increase customer traffic and repeat\n patronage.
      <\/li>
    • Identify\n new revenue opportunities through product promotions, upselling, and\n merchandising.
      <\/li>
    • Monitor\n sales trends and recommend improvements to increase profitability.
      <\/li>
    • Build\n strong customer relationships that encourage loyalty and referrals.
      <\/li><\/ul>
      • Lead,\n motivate, and supervise staff to achieve high performance.
        <\/li>
      • Train\n team members on operational standards, customer service, hygiene, and\n product knowledge.
        <\/li>
      • Prepare\n staff schedules and ensure adequate manpower during business hours.
        <\/li>
      • Foster\n a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

        • Deliver\n exceptional customer service and promptly resolve customer complaints.

        • Ensure\n customers receive quality products and professional assistance.

        • Build\n long\-term relationships with regular customers through excellent service.

          • Ensure\n strict compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.
            <\/li>
          • Conduct\n routine quality checks on all meat products.
            <\/li>
          • Maintain\n accurate operational records, stock reports, and daily sales reports.
            <\/li>
          • Work\n with little supervision or intervention of the MD
            <\/li>
          • Report\n directly to the MD
            <\/li>
          • Any\n other assigned task from the MD

            Requirements<\/h3>
            Qualifications:<\/b>
            <\/div>
            • Minimum\n of OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in any relevant discipline.
              <\/li><\/ul>
              • Minimum\n of 2 years' proven supervisory experience<\/b> in: A butchery, Supermarket,\n Departmental store, Shopping mall or Retail food business. Candidates\n without practical butchery supervision experience will not be considered.
                <\/li><\/ul>
                • Strong\n leadership and people management skills
                  <\/li>
                • Excellent\n knowledge of meat handling and butchery operations
                  <\/li>
                • Commercial\n mindset with the ability to increase sales and profitability
                  <\/li>
                • Strong\n initiative and proactive decision\-making abilities
                  <\/li>
                • Ability\n to solve operational challenges independently
                  <\/li>
                • Excellent\n communication and interpersonal skills
                  <\/li>
                • Strong\n customer relationship management skills

                • Good\n inventory and stock control knowledge

                • Basic\n computer skills (Excel, inventory systems, or POS) are an advantage
