C++ Programmer - Linux & Security (m/f/n)
Summary
We are looking for an experienced Linux C++ Software Engineer with a strong interest in security to join our agile team. The team develops ESET applications that protect Linux systems, targeted to a wide range of customers - from small businesses to large enterprises.Job description
This role is ideal for a developer who wants to grow towards Security Engineering while staying hands-on with C++ development. You will collaborate closely with internal security teams and help ensure that security is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to application code bases written in C++
- Contribute to security-focused architecture discussions and documentation
- Participate in code reviews as a member of an agile team
- Collaborate closely with internal security teams and other R&D teams
Minimum qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of experience in software development using C++
- High proficiency in Linux operating systems
- Experience in object-oriented design and programming
- Hands-on experience with security concepts (e.g. threat modeling, secure design, risk analysis)
- Security-oriented mindset with focus on identifying potential vulnerabilities early in development
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- English language (intermediate)
Basic wage component (brutto): from 2700 EUR/m. (brutto)
* The final basic wage component can be increased accordingly to individual skills and experience of the selected candidate.
* Performance bonus 2 times per year up to 10% of the basic salary paid for the evaluation period(usually 6 months).
