CAD-CAM ENGINEER

CAD-CAM Engineer is responsible for preparing, designing, and developing technical drawings, 3D models, and CNC machining programs based on customer specifications and project requirements.

The employee shall be responsible for:

  1. Preparing 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software.
  2. Creating CAM programs for CNC machining, milling, turning, and fabrication works.
  3. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  4. Developing machining processes and tool paths for production.
  5. Coordinating with production, CNC operators, and project teams.
  6. Checking drawings and programs to ensure accuracy before production.
  7. Preparing material cutting plans, nesting layouts, and machining schedules.
  8. Modifying drawings and programs based on site or production requirements.
  9. Ensuring all designs comply with quality, safety, and engineering standards.
  10. Maintaining proper records of drawings, revisions, and production files.

Requirements:

  1. Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, CNC Technology, or related field.
  2. Minimum 2 to 5 years of relevant CAD-CAM / CNC programming experience.
  3. Knowledge of CAD-CAM software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar.
  4. Able to read and understand engineering drawings and machining specifications.
  5. Knowledge of CNC milling, turning, cutting tools, and machining processes.
  6. Good coordination skills with production and project teams.
  7. Able to work independently and meet production deadlines.
  8. Basic knowledge of quality control and workplace safety requirements.
  9. Willing to work at workshop, factory, or project site when required.
