Calibration Technician II - Ops (Sunday to Wednesday, 6:00am - 4:30pm)

  • Perform calibrations on process instrumentation including but not limited (pressure, mass, flow, temperature, conductivity, etc.).
  • Knowledge of basic troubleshooting of process equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Help and support internal customer, suite coordinators, to determine the availability and adequacy of equipment.
  • Work with other Metrology team members to complete the assigned tasks.
  • Utilize SOPs for each equipment calibration, PM and functional testing process.
  • Ensure that laboratory standards and equipment are calibrated in a timely and on target dates.
  • Perform assigned calibrations in lab and in clean room suites including demand request to support our customers.
  • Provide technical assistance on process equipment as a subject matter expert.
  • Review calibration documents as needed basis.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs of weights during calibration of scales, tanks, etc.
  • Knowledge and use of CMMS (Maximo) database for data entry and calibration records.
  • Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 Standard, SI Units Traceability, ANSI Z540-series standards.
  • Ability to calculate equipment specifications, tolerance, limits, etc.
  • Flexibility in work schedule to meet business needs.
  • Associate degree, college certificate, or formal apprenticeship and 5+ years of work experience related to any of the following: mechanical trades, electrical up to 13kv, HVAC/R, PLC / Controls, Instrumentation, welding, machining and fabrication. CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) or equivalent accredited certification a plus.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in multiple skilled trade disciplines as defined by the department skills matrix including Predictive Maintenance Technologies.
  • Knowledge and ability to apply proper hand tools in an industrial setting.
  • Knowledge of related cGMP requirements and applicable safety regulations
  • Knowledge and ability to use power tools (such as electric drills, drill press, saws, grinders, pneumatic and hydraulic tools).
  • Ability to accurately use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, scales).
  • Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows).
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
