Call Center - Contact Center Associate I

Responsibilities

Summary:

This position ensures that blood collections goals are met by calling the appropriate donors to Nebraska Community Blood Bank donor centers and mobile blood drive operations.

Job Responsibilities:

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am - 5:30pm with occasional Saturdays.

  • Recruiting for Whole Blood Donations:
    • Calls appropriate donors based on inventory needs
    • Understands minimum requirements for donor recruitment and donor deferral guidelines
    • Uses assertive communication to secure appointments
    • Participates in programs to increase donor base. Includes cold calling to bring in new donors, lapsed donor and frequency campaigns
    • Meets individual and team goals to complete a minimum number of appointments and dials per hour
  • Recruiting for Automated Procedures:
    • Determines what is appropriate donation process with each call
    • Meets individual and team goals to complete a minimum number of appointments and dials per hour
  • Reminder Calls
  • Data Entry
    • Scheduling/ Canceling and rescheduling donor appointments
    • Maintains accurate donor files and fills out appropriate forms
  • Hybrid: Mostly remote work, however the initial 1-2 weeks of training is in office at our Lincoln, NE location. Employees must be within traveling distance of Nebraska Community Blood Bank Lincoln office to go to the office for required department meetings and trainings.

    The hourly rate for this position is $17.33/hr.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    High School Diploma or Equivalent

    Other:

    Minimum 1 year experience in telemarketing and/or customer service

    Customer service training experience preferred

    Ability to organize and prioritize

    Basic computer, typing skills, and math skills

    Excellent interpersonal communication skills

    Accurate oral and written communication skills

    Persuasive sales skills

    Ability to read and interpret SOPs

    Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

    Willingness to follow direction

    Problem solving abilities
