Job Responsibilities
* Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on various canning line front-end equipment, including cuppers, bodymakers, and trimmers.
* Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, and implement effective repair solutions to minimize downtime.
* Conduct regular inspections and adjustments to ensure machinery operates within specified parameters and quality standards.
* Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve operational bottlenecks and improve overall line efficiency.
* Execute equipment changeovers and set-ups accurately and efficiently.
* Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and part replacements accurately in the maintenance management system.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and company regulations, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
* Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery as required.

Job Qualifications
* Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment, with specific experience on canning lines or similar high-speed production machinery.
* Strong understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
* Proficiency in using various hand and power tools safely and effectively.
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong commitment to safety and quality.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as required by production schedules.
* Basic computer literacy for documentation and data entry.
* Relevant technical diploma or vocational training in mechanical maintenance or a related field is highly desirable.
