Monday-Friday, Days (call 1-2 nights per week, every 4th weekend)

We are seeking a Cardiac Sonographer II to provide high-quality diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related imaging equipment. This role requires independent judgment, technical expertise, and initiative to perform a wide range of complex diagnostic procedures in accordance with clinical standards, applicable laws, and demonstrated competency.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations for adult inpatient and outpatient populations in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Utilize advanced sonographic skills and independent judgment to obtain accurate diagnostic images and identify normal and abnormal findings.
  • Analyze sonographic information, prepare preliminary reports, and communicate findings to physicians as needed.
  • Coordinate daily workflow and scheduling to support efficient department operations and patient care coverage.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and quality care throughout all examinations.
  • Complete clerical and billing processes accurately and maintain required documentation.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment, perform minor maintenance, and coordinate repair service when necessary.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited cardiac sonography program.

Experience:

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in specialty field, i.e., vascular diagnostics or echocardiography. Current registry in either cardiac and/or vascular sonography through the ARDMS/CCI.
  • Preferred: TEE experience, Pediatric echo experience or certification

License/Certifications:

  • BCLS
  • Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons
