Are you a student of Seattle Colleges graduating in 2027 and curious to learn more about a career in tech? Do you want to develop your interview skills and prepare for internship opportunities? Then we have the experience for you!
The Career Exploration Program (CEP) is a corporate career development program designed for Seattle College Juniors (2027 graduates) with technology majors to expand their knowledge of EG, experience professional development through mentorship, and gain valuable interview practice.
This program is for students early in their educational and career journeys and provides great learning opportunity for students who don't yet have real-life technical knowledge and experience, in a professional setting.
*This program intended only for Seattle College Foundation students. (Participating schools include: Seattle Central College, North Seattle College, & South Seattle College)
About the Career Exploration Program (CEP)
During the program you will develop your technical and application knowledge, be immersed in our supportive culture, build connections with our technology teams, and be partnered with a mentor.
This program is designed for students with a technology major at a junior level in university (2027 graduates). This program will explore software development engineering roles such as: general software development engineering, data engineering, machine learning engineering, and security engineering.
This is an unpaid program, with a mixture of virtual and in-person attendance. The kick-off day will be hosted in-person in our Seattle Expedia Group headquarters on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.
Program Details
Learning: Find out about the transformative technology we use to power travel and how to set yourself up for success in various software development role profiles. You’ll get great guidance in how to prepare for our application process.
Insight: Gain knowledge of what life is like working for a global travel technology company, experiencing our culture and values.
Networking: Meet with other like-minded students, current Expedia Group employees and hear expert advice from our business leaders.
Mentorship: Build a relationship with our mentoring network and receive invaluable support for future Expedia Group job applications.
Support: Connect with our Expedia Group Early Careers team and receive advice on how to increase your chances of securing an internship.
Merchandise: Also known as swag. You’ll receive free fun giveaways!

Program Schedule
Kick Off Day: This in person event on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 is your introduction into the program. The day will include an overview of EG, an office tour, a panel of Early Career software engineers, and a networking opportunity.
Learning Sessions: We will host two virtual learning sessions on how to write a technical resume and EG's application process from 12:00 -- 1:00 PM Pacific time on January 28th and February 4th.
Mentorship: You will be paired with a Mentor at EG to hear personal insights on breaking into the tech industry, practice interview questions, and gain professional advice.
Mock Interviews: You will gain a feel for EG's application process through mock behavioral and technical interviews before the program wraps on March 20th.
End of Program Event: Join us once again at our Seattle Headquarters to celebrate completing the program! You will have time to mingle with EG's early careers team, meet your mentor in person and connect with other program participants. Exact scheduling to be confirmed at a later date.
