Cashier
Job Summary
Perform cashiering and waitering duties by taking and serving food and beverage orders accurately, communicating with the kitchen team, maintaining cleanliness, and providing excellent customer service to ensure a smooth dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Process customer orders and serve food and beverages accurately and courteously
- Communicate table orders clearly to the kitchen team and track order progress to ensure timely delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of tables and chairs before seating new customers
- Assist housekeeping duties
- Operate POS system and process cash, card, PayNow, and other payment methods
- Issue receipts and maintain proper sales records
- Perform opening and closing cashier duties
- Ensure cash balance matches daily sales transactions
- Attend to customer enquiries promptly and provide helpful service
- Assist customers with menu recommendations
- Collect bills accurately and promptly from customers
- Work closely with kitchen and service team to ensure smooth operations
- Follow company SOP and food safety regulations
- Promote the restaurant to attract walk-in customers at the storefront
- Update daily sales report and expenses
- Support on ad-hoc duties as needed
Required competencies and certifications
- Food Hygiene Certification Level 1, required for F&B industry work
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- GCE "O" Level or equivalent
- Prior experience as a waiter/waitress
- Proficient in POS systems and experienced in cashiering and handling money
- Skilled in customer interaction and problem solving
- Ability to work well in a team and adapt flexibly to changes
- Multi-tasking
- Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
