About the role

We are seeking switched-on and professional Security Officers to join the security team at a leading Australian university located in Sydney’s CBD. This is a casual patrolling role, ideal for candidates who enjoy being active on shift and engaging with people in a customer-focused environment.

The position is paid at Level 2 pay grade per hour + casual loading + superannuation and applicable shift loadings.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct foot and mobile patrols across campus facilities

• Maintain a visible security presence and provide customer service support

• Respond to incidents, alarms and requests for assistance

• Enforce site policies and safety procedures

• Liaise with students, staff, visitors and contractors

• Complete accurate incident reports and shift documentation

Essential requirements

• Current NSW Security Licence

• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate

• Previous experience in a security role (patrolling preferred)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Professional presentation and customer-focused approach

• Ability to pass police checks and relevant clearances
