Category Manager Animal Health & Nutrition- M/F

Mission:

Reporting to the Marketing & Communication Director, the Category Manager oversees a category of products and drives product performance & profitability, by leading go-to-market and supporting sales development through product portfolio life cycle management.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to understand trends, competition, technologies, customers’ needs and suggest portfolio value creation for a sustainable and profitable growth.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize the product value proposition.
  • Is accountable of deployment of portfolio positioning.
  • Develop and implement an action plan for product pre- and post-launch phases.
  • Track key performance indicators to assess product success on the market and make recommendations to optimize sales.
  • Support sales teams by keeping marketing material & tool kits up to date and adapted to our customers.
  • Develop and execute internal & external marketing training plans for sales teams and customers.
  • Ensure all aspects of the marketing mix.

- You have a master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration and/or technical engineer education in Agriculture sector (or equivalent).

- You have at least 10 years of successful experience in product management in Animal nutrition & health industry.

-You speak English fluently and ideally another language (French will be an advantage).

- You are recognized for your interpersonal skills and your ability to communicate and develop in a matrix and multicultural environment.

- You are open minded and a team player, you have strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate product vision and strategy.

- You have good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 tools (or equivalent)

The position is located in Marcq-en-Baroeul (Lille Metropolitan area) in the North of France, in the immediate proximity to the Lesaffre Group Headquarters.

The position requires up to 40 % of travelling.
