The Ryder Cup is one of the biggest global events in sport – and behind the scenes, delivering an exceptional hospitality and catering experience is critical to its success.

We’re looking for a Catering Operations Manager to play a key role in planning and delivering catering operations for the Ryder Cup 2027. This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of a large-scale international event, collaborating with leading catering partners and supporting world-class delivery. The successful candidate will be organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, live event environment.

You’ll support the end-to-end catering operation, helping to ensure everything runs smoothly – from early planning right through to live event delivery.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the planning and coordination of catering across hospitality, public, staff, and retail areas

  • Working closely with catering partners and suppliers to ensure readiness and smooth execution

  • Assisting with logistics planning, including deliveries, storage, and equipment deployment

  • Maintaining planning trackers, schedules, and operational documentation

  • Monitoring service standards, KPIs, and sustainability requirements

  • Supporting workforce coordination, including staffing plans and accreditation tracking

  • Providing hands-on, on-site support during build-up, live event delivery, and de-rig phases

  • Assisting with financial processes, including purchase orders and invoice validation

  • Contributing to post-event reporting and continuous improvement insights

You’ll bring:

  • 2–4 years’ experience in catering, food & beverage, or event operations

  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail

  • A collaborative approach and confidence working with multiple stakeholders

  • The ability to stay calm under pressure and solve problems on the go

  • Awareness of food safety and operational standards

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience working on large-scale events or in sport

  • Previous exposure to managing teams or operational delivery

What to expect

  • A dynamic, hands-on role with the opportunity to work on a global sporting event

  • Hybrid working, with regular travel to our Wentworth HQ

  • International travel during planning phases

  • Extended on-site presence in the lead-up to the event (up to 6 weeks)

  • Occasional evening and weekend work during key delivery periods
