CDD 6 mois- Competitive Intelligence and Services Officer
His / Her mission is to collect and analyze information from various internal and external sources and synthesizing the insights. By gathering, analyzing and promoting competitive intelligence, (s)he recommends a course of actions/interpretation and empowers decision-making across the organization. This is completed by the role of assisting on Services where the mission will be to industrialize, standardize, and simplify the services process and execution flow to drive Benelux Services Business growth, while also working on consistent marketing visuals and ensuring continuity through the onboarding of a successor (Business Continuity).
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
1. Market Watch and Competitive Intelligence Gathering
The role is centered on establishing a systematic process for monitoring the market and competitors.
- Data Collection: Responsible for creating a methodology to gather competitive and pricing data from public sources, industry reports, and social media monitoring.
- Strategic Analysis: The mission involves identifying trends in competitors' strategies, as well as their specific capabilities and vulnerabilities.
- Database Management: Maintaining and updating a central database of competitive intelligence for ongoing research and reference.
2. Proximity with Sales and Churn/competition information
The position acts as a bridge between intelligence and field operations, specifically supporting the Sales teams.
- Churn/Retention analysis: A critical task is analyzing and reporting on tenders (won, lost, or canceled) to provide insights into best practices and competitive moves. This directly supports the analysis of competition churn.
- Sales Enablement: The role involves training and monitoring the Sales population on qualifying churn and creating "competitor contracts" in SFDC to ensure the field is equipped with the latest competitive insights. This will further support renewal tracking of point 3.
The role leverages specific tools to track contracts and renewals for future prospection.
Salesforce & Power BI: The position requires proficiency in Salesforce (SFDC) and Power BI to manage data and exploit results.
3. Actionable Conclusions and Strategic Alignment
The intelligence gathered is intended to drive decision-making through clear, actionable communication.
- Actionable Briefings: Conducting competitor insight briefings for Leaders and Managers to warn them of potential threats or opportunities in a clear, actionable format.
- Renewal Tracking: A core responsibility is ensuring the follow-up of ongoing tenders/contracts and keeping track of renewal dates and new tenders to be launched, which is essential for proactive prospection.
- Cross-Functional Link and Task Force Alignment: Collaborating with Marketing, Sales, and Product Management to integrate intelligence into broader commercial strategies.
The role requires alignment with other business lines (such as Large Industries, Medgas, and H2E) and "IPG" and "SG" taskforces to provide a "helicopter view" of the market impact.
4. Services
- Successor Onboarding: Onboard the newly arriving replacement VIE to ensure a seamless handover and continuity of the mission.
- Process Industrialization and Standardization: Industrialize, standardize, and simplify the services process and execution flow within the organization, including defining and creating profitability tools, and building a professional communication model among all involved departments.
- Services Business Growth and Marketing Support: Contribute to increasing the Benelux Services Business in terms of turnover, volumes, and growth by simplifying and facilitating the internal process flow to better sell service solutions, and by working on marketing visuals consistent with the direction set over the previous two years.
Are you a MATCH?
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, data science or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years experience in competitive intelligence, market research or a related field.
- Additional certifications in competitive intelligence or data analysis (advantageous)
Knowledge and Knowhow specific to the job
Good knowledge of antitrust law application
Good knowledge of AL Offers, products and services
Knowledge of Power BI, SalesForce
Know-how on IT tools using (extract reporting)
Good knowledge of safety and quality procedures
Management and behavior skills
Organizing accurately quantitative and qualitative information
