Certified Industrial Painter

Purpose:

As a Painter you will be responsible for primering, painting, and stacking for shipment, materials components according to technical drawings and blueprints, ensuring that they meet design specifications and quality standards.

Required Knowledge, Skill, Abilities, and Competencies:

Painter 1:

• • General knowledge of proper handling and staging
  • Knowledge of SP2 and SP3 cleaning
  • Able to apply shop coat primer

Painter 2:

• • Advanced knowledge of staging and handling
  • Full comprehension and application of standard shop primer
  • Some knowledge of multi-component coatings and their application
  • Extensive knowledge of spray equipment
  • Properly utilize inspection equipment

Painter 3:

• • Complete knowledge of all coating systems and paint equipment
  • Provide material and consumable usage
  • Provide estimated paint times
  • Train lower level painters
