Shift: Full Time & Part Time 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts!
Pay: $24.27 - $26.14 Per Hour Based on Certification Date
$2.00 Per Hour - Evening Shift Differential
$1.75 Per Hour - Night Shift Differential
Every Other Weekend Required
Responsibilities
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), your primary responsibility will be to provide basic care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN). You will play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients by assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist patients with their personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Help patients with mobility by aiding in walking, transferring, and positioning.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist in feeding patients and ensuring they receive adequate nutrition and hydration.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Respond to patient calls and provide them with emotional support and companionship.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment by changing linens, tidying patient rooms, and replenishing supplies.
- Document patient information and report any observed changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to minimize risks and ensure the welfare of patients.
- Assist in transporting patients to various departments within the healthcare facility as needed.
Qualifications
- Current NYS certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or willingness to complete our on-site training/certification program
- Ability to adapt to changes in schedule and rotation to weekend schedule to meet resident needs.
- Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, and other employees and cope with the physical and mental stress of the position.
- Ability to understand and carry out directions and instructions.
- Ability to report changes in the resident’s condition and other pertinent information.
- Ability to take and record information and basic records.
- Knowledge of MS Office and able to learn new software rapidly.
