Certified Nursing Assistant Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting
  • Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
  • Support patient mobility, transfers, and positioning
  • Assist with equipment such as walkers, wheelchairs, and bedside devices
  • Ensure patient comfort, safety, and hydration
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized patient care environments
  • Perform clerical and support tasks related to patient care and documentation
  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff and care team members
  • Follow infection control, safety, and quality standards
  • Participate in training, meetings, and quality improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) required (or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant)
  • BLS certification required (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
  • One year of clinical experience preferred
  • Ability to assist with lifting and patient mobility (50+ lbs as needed)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
