Advantage Home Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing Home Health team. As a Home Health Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you'll enjoy the autonomy of managing your schedule, providing one-on-one care in patients' homes, and helping individuals improve their ability to safely and independently perform the activities of daily living that matter most to them.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

  • Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist in accordance with physician orders and individualized plans of care.• Assist patients in improving their ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).• Implement treatment plans designed to improve function, safety, and independence.• Instruct patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, home safety recommendations, and the use of adaptive equipment.• Document patient treatments, responses, and progress in a timely and accurate manner.• Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.• Communicate changes in patient condition and progress to the supervising Occupational Therapist.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Pennsylvania.• Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance.• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.• Home health experience preferred, but not required.
