Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Responsibilities
- Assist in delivering therapy services across:
- Outpatient rehab
- Inpatient care
- Short-term rehab (swing bed program)
- Implement treatment plans developed by Occupational Therapists
- Provide hands-on therapy to improve patient function and independence
- Monitor and document patient progress
- Collaborate with therapists, providers, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Maintain a safe, supportive therapy environment
- Educate patients on exercises and functional therapy activities
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team training
What We’re Looking For
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current Michigan COTA license required
- CPR certification required
- One year of experience in:
- Short-term rehab
- Outpatient therapy
- OR inpatient rehab (preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible and adaptable to patient needs and scheduling
