Change Management Program Director

Find your purpose as the Change Management Program Director as CentraCare! The Change Management Program Director is responsible for enabling enterprise-wide change success through a coaching, facilitation, and capability-building approach rather than direct project ownership. This role focuses on equipping leaders and teams to effectively lead their own change initiatives by providing frameworks, tools, learning experiences, and expert guidance. The Director serves as a strategic advisor and internal consultant—guiding leaders through change, strengthening organizational change capability, and fostering a culture of adaptability and resilience.

Schedule:

  • Full-time 80 hours every 2 weeks
  • Monday-Friday Days
  • Hybrid of at-home and in-office work (St. Cloud, MN)

Pay and Benefits:

  • Starting pay begins at $119,433.60 per year and increases with experience.
  • Salary range: $119,433.60-179,129.60 per year
    • Salary range is based on a 1.0 FTE, reduced FTE will result in a prorated offer rate

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7–10+ years of experience in change management, organizational development, leadership development, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience coaching leaders and influencing change outcomes without direct project ownership.
  • Experience designing and delivering facilitator-led training, workshops, and leadership learning programs.
  • Proven ability to work in complex, matrixed organizations and influence across all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and application in complex environments.
  • Expertise in adult learning, facilitation, and capability building.
  • Experience developing scalable frameworks, tools, and playbooks.
  • Ability to guide rather than direct—using influence, coaching, and consultation to drive outcomes.
  • Exceptional facilitation, communication, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong coaching and consulting mindset with the ability to build trust quickly.
  • Strategic thinking paired with practical execution.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and support leaders through complex change landscapes.
  • Certification in change management methodology (e.g., Prosci, ACMP CCMP) preferred.
  • Leadership or executive coaching certification (e.g., ICF or equivalent) preferred.
  • Certification or training in facilitation, adult learning, or instructional design preferred.
  • Experience operating in a centralized change center of excellence (COE) or similar enablement model.
  • Experience in healthcare or similarly complex, regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with design thinking, Agile, or Lean methodologies as they relate to change and transformation.
  • Experience building enterprise change capability programs and internal communities of practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise Change Strategy & Enablement

  • Develop and maintain a scalable, enterprise-wide change management strategy aligned with organizational mission, values, and priorities.
  • Establish a consistent change framework, tools, and practices that leaders can apply across initiatives.
  • Ensure change management is embedded into leadership expectations and organizational ways of working.

Leader Coaching & Advisory

  • Coach senior leaders, sponsors, and project teams to successfully lead their own change initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, providing guidance on change approach, stakeholder engagement, and adoption strategies.
  • Influence without direct authority, empowering leaders to own and drive outcomes.

Facilitation & Capability Building

  • Design and facilitate engaging learning experiences, workshops, and training programs that build change leadership capability across the organization.
  • Develop practical toolkits, playbooks, and resources to support leaders and teams.
  • Enable HR partners and leaders to apply change management principles independently.

Stakeholder Engagement & Culture

  • Partner with executives, HR, and functional leaders to build alignment and reinforce shared accountability for change success.
  • Promote a culture of adaptability, continuous learning, and resilience.
  • Support leaders in navigating resistance and building commitment at all levels.

Change Readiness & Risk Guidance

  • Guide leaders in assessing organizational readiness, identifying risks, and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Provide diagnostic tools and insights to inform decision-making without owning individual project execution.

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Define and promote metrics that leaders can use to measure change adoption and effectiveness.
  • Evaluate enterprise change capability and recommend improvements to strengthen outcomes over time.
