Role scope
The Channel Trade Marketing Manager On Trade is responsible for designing and delivering the channel activation strategy across the Pernod Ricard portfolio. Acting as the key Trade Marketing reference for Brand Marketing and Procurement, the role ensures brand strategies are translated into effective trade executions. This includes defining trade touchpoints, developing impactful POS materials, designing incentives and promotional mechanics, and driving brand visibility across all segments, from premium to ultra-premium.
Main activities
Brand-to-channel translation & touchpoint strategy
- Act as Trade Marketing reference for Brand Managers, ensuring alignment on brand strategies and investment cycles.
- Define and map optimal trade touchpoints across brand clusters (core, premium, high-end).
- Drive the localization and amplification of national campaigns and key events within the On-Trade channel.
- Develop product catalogues and sales toolkits to support Customer Trade Marketing and Sales teams.
POSM development, sourcing & brand identity
- Lead the end-to-end development of POS materials and visibility assets.
- Optimize tools across brands with an efficiency and effectiveness mindset.
- Collaborate with Procurement on vendor management, cost optimization, and production timelines.
- Ensure consistent application of brand identity across all trade assets.
Channel mechanics & sell-out toolkits design
- Design promotional mechanics, incentives, and activation toolkits for wholesalers and outlets.
- Ensure alignment with Customer Trade Marketing and Trade Advocacy teams.
- Develop activation guidelines for innovations, limited editions, and cross-brand initiatives.
Business planning & governance
- Contribute to the Integrated Business Planning process, aligning trade marketing inputs with commercial priorities.
- Coordinate monthly performance reviews, identifying gaps and defining corrective actions.
- Support brand owner presentations, highlighting local opportunities and market dynamics.
Financial & budget management
- Manage the assigned Trade Marketing budget, including POS and incentives.
- Monitor A&P spending, maintain databases, and ensure alignment with forecasts.
Skills & requirements
- 4+ years in Trade Marketing or Brand Management (FMCG preferred; spirits, wine, or beer experience a plus)
- Experience with POSM development, agencies, and procurement collaboration
- Strong project management and execution skills
- Financial acumen (budget management and reporting)
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and collaboration skills
- Fluent in Italian and English

What to know
We highly appreciate the expertise of our employees and are committed to offering them fair and competitive compensation. The salary range for this role is €40.000 to €50.000 plus 11% bonus and benefits. The final compensation will be defined based on the selected candidate’s actual experience and competencies.
Our company applies the National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL) for the food industry (Industria Alimentare).
