Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to oversee kitchen operations, prepare high-quality dishes, and maintain food quality and hygiene standards. The ideal candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage kitchen activities efficiently, and ensure customer satisfaction through excellent food preparation and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to company recipes and standards
- Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in compliance with Singapore food safety regulations
- Monitor food preparation and kitchen operations to ensure smooth daily operations
- Manage inventory, stock ordering, and ingredient storage properly
- Minimize food wastage and control kitchen costs effectively
- Inspect ingredients and food products to ensure freshness and quality
- Assist in menu planning and development of new dishes
- Train and supervise kitchen staff when required
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and used safely
- Work closely with service staff to ensure timely food delivery and customer satisfaction
- Follow workplace safety and health guidelines at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef, Cook, or similar kitchen role
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
- Familiarity with food hygiene and safety standards
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational abilities
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required
