We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Chef to join our kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced culinary professional who has a genuine passion for Chinese cooking and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Chef, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and cooking a variety of Chinese dishes to a high standard

  • Ensuring food quality, consistency, and presentation meet restaurant expectations

  • Managing food preparation and service during busy periods

  • Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards throughout the kitchen

  • Monitoring inventory levels and assisting with stock rotation and ordering

  • Minimizing food waste and ensuring efficient use of ingredients

  • Collaborating with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth daily operations

  • Assisting with menu development and seasonal specials when required

  • Following all health, safety, and hygiene regulations

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience working as a Chef, Cook, or similar role in a Chinese restaurant or Chinese cuisine-focused kitchen

  • Strong knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques, ingredients, and food preparation methods

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • A positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively with the team

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality

  • Reliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience preparing a range of regional Chinese dishes

  • Ability to communicate in both English and Chinese is preferred; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply

  • Relevant food safety or culinary certifications are an advantage

Availability Requirements

This position requires flexibility to work shift schedules, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Candidates should be dependable and able to support the operational needs of a busy restaurant.
