CHEF
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to menu standards and recipes
- Ensure food quality, taste, presentation, and portion control are consistent
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times (food safety standards, HACCP compliance)
- Manage kitchen stations and assist in food preparation during service hours
- Monitor food stock levels and report shortages to ensure smooth operations
- Store and handle ingredients properly to maintain freshness and reduce waste
- Assist in menu planning and development (more senior chefs)
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly used and maintained
- Comply with workplace safety regulations and procedures
Requirements / Skills
- Prior experience in a kitchen environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Physical stamina (long hours standing, heat environment)
- Able to commit to shift work, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
