Chemical Lab Technician
General Responsibilities
- Perform duties within a laboratory environment, adhering to safety and attire standards.
- Work in a lab environment, wearing laboratory coat and personal protective equipment.
- Receive necessary training and certification to perform assigned tasks.
- Communicate effectively with staff in English for daily operational matters and understand lab manual/SOP.
Sample Preparation and Conducting Lab Analysis
- Collect and prepare samples for analysis, ensuring they are handled and processed correctly.
- Perform scientific testing on samples and report results.
- This includes using a variety of laboratory equipment such as microscopes, mass spectrometers, and pH meters
Equipment Maintenance
- Ensure the correct and safe use of all laboratory equipment. Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment for precise and accurate results.
Other Duties (Logistics/Documentation/Housekeeping)
- Maintain up-to-date, accurate records of all tests performed and results. Document, interpret, and report test results in a clear and concise manner.
- Send and receive equipment, spares, materials, etc.
- Maintain general housekeeping standards to ensure the laboratory meets required standards.
- Perform office administrative tasks including printing, laminating, and labeling.
