We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer with 2–4 years of civil/site engineering experience to join our team. In this role, you will support the planning, design, and documentation of site/civil improvements including grading, utilities, and stormwater management for a mix of public and private projects. The ideal candidate is comfortable coordinating with multiple disciplines and navigating applicable codes and permitting requirements, with NYC/NYS or NJ agency experience preferred.
Salary is $75k-100k based on experience
Key Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
- Experience: 2–4 years of relevant civil/site engineering experience (site design, grading, utilities, stormwater management) supporting public and/or private projects.
- Certification: Engineer in Training (EIT) required.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; experience with MicroStation and/or stormwater/drainage tools (e.g., HydroCAD, HEC-RAS) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- NYC Agency Experience: Familiarity with NYC/NYS agencies and approval processes (e.g., NYCDEP, NYCDOT, NYC Parks, NYCHA, NYSDOT, NYSDEC) and preparing/responding to review comments.
- NJ Agency Experience: Familiarity with NJ agencies and approval processes (e.g., NJDEP, SCDs, local municipalities) and preparing/responding to review comments.
- Work Style: Capable of working on multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
