Context

The Civil Structures Engineer will be supporting the Civil Works Engineering Team by providing design for culverts, retaining walls, channels, manholes, pits, hydraulic structures and other miscellaneous structures that complement the roads, drainage and site development planning of transportation projects.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Structural Design: Execute analysis and detailing for linear assets, including box culverts,earth/water retaining structures, manholes, and road structures according to relevant design codes such as AASHTO LRFD, DPWH DGCS, BS and Eurocodes.

  • Technical Coordination: Integrate structural designs with roads, drainage, utility alignments, landscape and BIM/3D workflows to ensure clash-free construction.

  • Documentation: Prepare high-quality Design Reports and calculation packages for client and third-party review. Prepare clear sketches for drafters to produce detailed technical drawings.

Profile/Skills

  • Experience: 2–5 years in civil-structural design, specifically within the transportation or infrastructure sector.

  • Technical Tools: Proficiency in structural software (STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, or Midas) and civil design platforms (AutoCAD/Civil 3D).

  • Engineering Knowledge: Strong understanding of structural loads and solid grasp of reinforced concrete design, steel design, soil-structure interaction, and environmental load analysis.

  • Agility: Ability to adapt design philosophies to meet varying geographical requirements and international seismic/environmental codes.

  • Qualifications: PRC Licensed Civil Engineer, Masters Degree in Structural Engineering is an advantage
