Civilian Pay Technician (Office Automation)

About the Position: This position is located at Bassett Army Community Hospital in Fort Wainwright, Alaska. Federal employees in Alaska are currently entitled to receive a 1.49% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary. This is subject to change. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Input schedules and timecards for Defense Health Agency employees.

Utilize database software systems to assist employees in the resolution of payroll related problems.

Coordinate with employees to obtain pertinent documentation required to resolve payroll issues.

Act as the time and attendance point of contact for the Defense Health Agency civilian employees regarding questions and problems related to civilian payroll.

Update the master employee record (MER) to maintain accuracy.

Analyze historical payroll and time keeping data to detect errors for resolution.

Provide technical authority on payroll issues or questions relating to timecard coding and pay issues.

Use a variety of office automation systems to produce documents and reports.
