Claims Analyst (Marine Insurance)
The Claims Analyst will be responsible for meticulously reviewing, analyzing, and processing insurance claims to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution. This role requires a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills.
Your Impact:
Receive, review, and analyze incoming insurance claims, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
Investigate claim details, including policy coverage, liability, and damage assessment, to determine appropriate resolution.
Communicate effectively with policyholders, agents, adjusters, and other relevant parties to gather information and provide claim status updates.
Negotiate and settle claims within established authority limits, adhering to company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate and thorough claim records, documenting all communications, decisions, and financial transactions.
Identify and report potential fraudulent claims, escalating as necessary.
Collaborate with underwriting and legal departments on complex or disputed claims.
Stay informed of industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to claims management.
Prepare and present claim reports and analyses to management as required.
Assist in the development and implementation of claims processing improvements.
Successful Candidates Will Have:
Active insurance adjuster's license in resident state
1-3 years of insurance claims experience, including Property, Casualty, and Liability.
Experience with MTC (Motor Truck Cargo), Builder's Risk, Yacht, and/or Recreational Marine is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Pay Range:
$55,000 - $85,000 AnnualThe pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for this role.
