We're looking for an experienced Claims Manager to take the wheel of our first party claims teams at 4th Dimension Innovation in Egham, Surrey. As a fast-growing, owner-managed group of five businesses specialising in the motorcycle market β€” and employing around 550 people β€” we live by our values of Passion, Integrity, Innovation and Excellence. If you're a confident claims leader who can balance technical rigour with commercial nous and loves building strong insurer relationships, this is your chance to take a senior role to the front of the grid.


Reporting directly to the Head of Claims, you'll own the oversight of all first party teams, act as a key escalation point, and play an instrumental part in driving the strategic direction, operational performance and technical leadership of the department.


Main Duties:


  • Own first party insurer contracted services, both internally and externally.
  • Provide strategic, operational team leadership β€” driving performance and engagement across all claims teams.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for insurer partners, taking ownership of client relationships with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach.
  • Ensure operational excellence through consistent compliance with SLAs, KPIs and FCA frameworks, including Consumer Duty.
  • Lead technical governance β€” overseeing file quality, technical accuracy and adherence to best practice across all service offerings.
  • Apply deep knowledge of claims administration, including reserving, validation and QA monitoring.
  • Oversee management information and reporting to ensure accuracy throughout.
  • Drive team development, working closely with L&D and Compliance to identify training, coaching and mentoring needs across the department.
  • Carry out risk and trend analysis β€” identifying emerging issues and escalating insights to the Head of Claims and insurer clients.
  • Prepare and chair meetings, collaborating with teams across the wider business.
  • Champion continuous improvement β€” evaluating and enhancing processes, procedures and workflows to deliver operational efficiencies.


Key Skills:


  • Previous Claims Management experience, with the ability to develop and manage several teams at once.
  • Extensive technical claims experience within the motor sector.
  • Strong understanding of current FCA guidelines and legislation, specifically Consumer Duty within the claims sector.
  • A proven track record of building and maintaining insurer and stakeholder relationships.
  • Commercially astute, balancing technical rigour with operational efficiency.
  • A collaborative, hands-on leadership style, comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Confident interpreting MI to improve team performance and identify process changes.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail, and the ability to make complex issues simple.
  • Deep-seated knowledge of claims structures and processes.
