Claims-Motor Appraisal
Job Description:
Inspect damaged vehicles at garages, accident sites, or customer premises.
Assess the extent of damage and estimate repair costs.
Verify the validity of claims and check for possible fraud.
Liaise with repairers, policyholders, and other stakeholders.
Prepare detailed survey and assessment reports.
Advise claims handlers and underwriters on claim settlements.
Negotiate with garages and customers regarding repair methods and costs.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for each claim.
Provide technical guidance to claims teams as required.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree with related experience in insurance or surveyor.
Prior experience in motor claims assessment, vehicle repair, or insurance is preferred.
Strong knowledge of motor vehicle construction, repair methods, and insurance processes.
Analytical and investigative skills.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Attention to detail and integrity.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases.
