Cleaner / Car Park Attendant

LOCATION: OLD GEORGE MALL SHOPPING CENTRE

SHIFT PATTERN: Thursday and Saturday, 16 hours per week

PAY RATE: £13.45 per hour

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

· Daily cleaning and maintenance of service area, salvage store, stairways, and offices

· Sweeping, wiping, scrubbing, and disinfecting any hard surface in the public toilets

· Use of provided mechanical equipment.

· Ensure the public areas and surroundings are always maintained in clean and tidy condition.

· Undertaking the removal of any graffiti or other vandal damage which may occur.

· Ensuring any hard surface, such as toilets, floors, tiles, ash trays, litter bins, hand basins, toilet pedestals receive continuous attention.

· Carry out any special cleaning tasks, such as spillage’s.

· Ensuring all tools are left are cleaned and stowed away before the end of the shift.

· Reporting any machine faults or any other issues or damages to the Centre Manager and Centre Supervisor

· Advise management about any cleaning or other work requirements when necessary.

· Advise Centre Manager or Site Supervisor about any requirements for tools, stores or materials. Maintain appropriate level of stock records.

Person Specification:

· As a member of staff in contact with public it is essential to be polite and helpful and be prepared to give every assistance when called upon to do so

· Needs to be clean, smart, and alert when on duty and behave in responsible manner.

· Flexible to changes.

Essential

· Able to react in a professional and calm manner in any situation.

· Good team ethic

· Excellent Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and workloads.

Desirable
