Location: Remote (South Africa)
Hours: 20 hours per week (UK working hours) GMT 12pm to 4pm.
Salary: R12,500 – R15,000 per month (depending on experience)
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Client Accounts & Property Compliance Assistant to support a UK-based, family-run property management business.
This role sits within a small, collaborative team and focuses on supporting property accounts, reconciliations, arrears management and compliance administration across residential and commercial portfolios.
The position is remote (South Africa-based) and offers long-term stability with the potential to grow into a full-time role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage landlord and tenant account records
- Process rent receipts, payments, and allocations
- Monitor and follow up on arrears (residential and commercial)
- Process supplier and contractor invoices
- Support bank and account reconciliations
- Prepare landlord statements and basic financial reports
- Assist with service charge and property-related reconciliations
- Support property compliance administration tasks
- Respond to client and tenant account queries
- Maintain accurate financial and property records
Requirements
Essential
- Experience in property administration, property accounts, lettings support, or similar environment
- Strong reconciliation and numerical ability
- Experience working with client accounts, billing, or financial administration
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Strong communication and organisational skills
Advantageous
- Exposure to arrears management or credit control
- Experience with landlord/tenant ledgers
- Familiarity with property systems (Reapit, MRI, Arthur, etc.) – or similar
- Exposure to UK property processes or international clients
