Clinical Laboratory Scientist

About the Position: This position is located at the 59th Medical Wing - Joint Base San Antonio - Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center; Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Provide advance technical proficiency and full responsibility for the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).

Perform specimen collection and laboratory testing according to laboratory manning needs and requirements.

Establish and oversee a robust program for troubleshooting, maintenance and calibration of instrumentation and equipment used by the laboratory to perform testing.

Read, review and update technical operating instructions when required.

Develop, or approve procedures to be followed when testing controls are outside acceptable limits.

Provide advisory services to MTF staff on clinical laboratory technical procedures and processes.

Represent the organization with a variety of instillation and functional area organizations.
