Clinical Psychologist (Mental Health)
About the Position: Vacancies are located at Darnell Army Medical Center, Fort Hood, Texas. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Provide diagnostic evaluations, individual and group therapy, and brief evidence-based interventions within a multidisciplinary mental health clinic.
Assess and manage acute and chronic mental health concerns, including suicide risk, crisis presentations, and complex biopsychosocial conditions.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, command teams, and community partners to coordinate care, safety planning, and appropriate referrals.
Develop and document treatment goals using the “specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound” format, and maintain complete clinical records in accordance with federal, state, and hospital regulations.
Participate in and lead quality assurance and performance improvement activities, including reviewing clinical records, monitoring outcome measures, and evaluating clinical procedures.
Provide staff education, professional development, and training on mental health topics to strengthen clinical practice across the organization.
