Clinical Psychologist (Pediatrics)
About the Position: The position is located within Madigan Army Medical Center, Department of Mental Health. The primary work location is at the Child & Family Mental Health Services (CAFMHS) clinic. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Advance in Hire may be authorized. This is available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
Screen and interview children, adolescents, and family members, and utilizes psychometric instruments in the assessment of psychological disorders typically affecting children and adolescents.
Perform biopsychological tests for the purpose of assessing patient’s cognitive, mental, educational, and emotional functioning.
Provide advice for case staffing, using expert knowledge of general and specific concepts, principles, procedures, and practices relating to the psychological counseling of children, adolescents, and family members.
Perform a wide variety of quality management/quality assurance (QM/QA) duties to meet HIPPA and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JC) requirements.
Provide expert professional consultation to primary care providers and other professional staff regarding the psychological functioning of children, adolescents, and families.
Develop, implement, and evaluate professional development activities, using expert knowledge of general and specific concepts, principles, procedures, and practices relating to clinical child adolescent psychology.
