Clinical Quality Specialist
Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
About the Job:
The Quality Clinical Specialist serves as the subject matter expert for clinical documentation, Epic workflows, regulatory compliance, and staff education across Homecare, Hospice, and Hospice House programs. This role partners with clinical, quality, education, and IT teams to optimize documentation processes, support Epic system enhancements, ensure compliance with Medicare requirements, and provide ongoing training and support to staff.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and support Epic clinical documentation workflows, process improvements, and system optimization initiatives.
- Develop and deliver training programs for new hires and existing staff on Epic clinical and office workflows.
- Create and maintain educational materials related to documentation, compliance, and operational processes.
- Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for clinical documentation and Epic-related issues.
- Collaborate with Epic analysts, trainers, managers, and care teams to improve workflows and outcomes.
- Review Epic updates, assess operational impacts, and implement necessary education and training plans.
- Conduct documentation audits to ensure compliance with agency policies, Medicare Conditions of Participation, and regulatory standards.
- Partner with Quality and Education teams to identify documentation improvement opportunities and address deficiencies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, CMS surveys, and site reviews.
- Serve as a resource for Home Health and Hospice documentation requirements, including regulatory and compliance standards.
Who You Are:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
- Experienced with Epic documentation and healthcare technology systems.
- Skilled in training, coaching, and educating multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of workflow design, process improvement, and clinical documentation practices.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and customer service skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of Home Health and Hospice documentation requirements, OASIS, HIS, and Medicare regulations preferred.
- Experience leading projects, driving change initiatives, and supporting organizational improvement efforts preferred.
- CPR certification required.
