Job Description
If you've been looking to break into the commercial medical device industry from nursing, this 6 month contract could be exactly what you need to kick start your new career.
You’ll use your clinical knowledge to deliver training, in-servicing, and rollout support for BD’s PureWick system and play a key role in improving outcomes for patients and clinicians across hospitals.
You’ll also support our broader critical care portfolio, working alongside a high-performing team that values energy, collaboration, and results.
Your Day-to-Day
As a Clinical Specialist – Urology & Critical Care at BD, you’ll provide clinical expertise and training to ensure successful adoption of BD products. Based in the Sydney region, you will provide support to public and private hospitals across NSW.
Your day will include:
Delivering in-servicing, workshops, and training sessions for hospital staff
Supporting product rollouts, trials, and evaluations
Acting as a clinical resource for PureWick and other critical care solutions
Engage internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful product roll out
Provide feedback on market activity, including competitor insights and industry trends.
Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and meetings as require
Building strong relationships with clinicians and key stakeholders
Collaborating with Sales and Marketing teams to drive product adoption
Maintaining accurate records and reporting on activities and outcomes
About You
You’re a driven, commercially minded nurse who’s ready to take your clinical expertise into the MedTech industry. You thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy working with people, and bring energy and professionalism to everything you do.
You’ll bring:
Current nursing qualification and clinical experience (experience in ICU, Critical Care or Urology advantageous but not essential)
Strong communication and presentation skills
Confidence to lead training sessions and engage with hospital teams
Commercial mindset and willingness to learn sales processes
Ability to travel across your territory as required
