Cloud Architect (Bank and Financial)

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable and secure cloud architectures covering IaaS, PaaS, SaaS integration, networking (VPC), security, and landing zone setup.
• Provide technical consulting for cloud, big data, and AI solutions to support enterprise digital transformation initiatives.
• Conduct requirement analysis, solution design, technical proposal preparation, cost estimation, and Proof of Concept (POC) validation.
• Support cloud migration, deployment, and implementation activities across public and hybrid cloud environments.
• Deploy, configure, operate, and optimize cloud infrastructure and platform services, including compute, storage, networking, containers, middleware, big data, and AI platforms.
• Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and external partners to deliver end-to-end cloud solutions and support business objectives.
• To collaborate and communicate effectively with Singapore-based regulatory bodies and local stakeholders, as well as to support collaboration with Chinese-speaking global decision-makers, domestic manufacturing partners, and regional headquarters counterparts based in China

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in cloud solution architecture, technical consulting, or solution delivery in ICT environments, preferably involving public cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of cloud computing fundamentals, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, networking, virtualization, and cloud security concepts.
• Experience in container platforms and DevOps practices, including Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
• Practical experience in designing or supporting enterprise cloud or data transformation projects, preferably in banking, internet, or large enterprise environments.
• Good understanding of data platform and distributed systems, including technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Flink, Hive, or similar big data frameworks.
• Familiarity with AI/ML lifecycle concepts and cloud-based machine learning platforms is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, network, container, and middleware layers.
• This role requires proficiency in both English and Mandarin (written and spoken) to communicate effectively with Singapore-based regulatory bodies and local stakeholders, as well as to support collaboration with Chinese-speaking global decision-makers, domestic manufacturing partners, and regional headquarters counterparts based in China.
