This Cloud Engineer will be responsible for enabling and supporting Truist's Enterprise Cloud Platform across multiple projects/business units. The candidate must be able to support and maintain operationalized projects and initiatives built for customers. The candidate will focus on delivering secure, resilient and compliant cloud environments that enable applications teams to deliver maximum value to the business.The ideal candidate will be goal-oriented, independent, motivated, self-driven, result-oriented, and act in the best interests of the team as well as the customer. They must act both as a support mechanism for our customers, be able to handle multiple concurrent requests in a dynamic environment and should have the highest level of integrity
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Cloud Engineering and Operations – Via automation and other means, implement platform related resources in the Cloud platform. This may include but not limited to storage, compute, and network resources
• Demonstrable knowledge with a large range of public cloud capabilities including but not limited to certificate management, Storage services, key management, Network management, Access Management (IAM), Compute services, and automated deployments
• Some technical experience in infrastructure design, build and deployment, including private and public cloud, networking, connectivity, storage, virtualization, and access control
• Conceptual understanding of Cloud networking for enterprise organizations, building of hybrid environments to span existing customer networks
• Software Development IaC / Script Development– Coding and development experience in Terraform and Python is preferred.
• Performance Metrics – Support the monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) to promulgate success factors for the entire software portfolio.
• Risk Management Addressing and managing different audit requirements for compliance and remediating any audit issues that may arise.
• Disaster Recovery - Implementing and testing the DR plans for the DevOps Tools.
• Change/Release Management – Knowledge of ITIL tools (e.g. ServiceNow) for operational and service efficiency.
• Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions or assigned by management.

This position is office-centric 5 days a week in our Atlanta hub location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Builds and designs enterprise infrastructure technology platforms and systems across various environments, such as cloud, network, database, storage, platform, computing, and/or middleware domains.
2. Applies automation, monitoring, and optimization techniques to ensure high availability and performance of infrastructure.
3. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and continuously improve infrastructure standards and processes.
4. Troubleshoots and resolves moderately complex technical issues impacting infrastructure performance and reliability.
5. Supports compliance with technology strategies, standards, and governance to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory adherence.
6. Deploys infrastructure designs, configurations, and procedures to support operational consistency and knowledge sharing.
7. Proactively contributes to technical innovation efforts and advancement of infrastructure capabilities.
8. Works with technical project teams to support infrastructure deliverables and solutions.
9. Makes adjustments or recommends enhancements in technical systems and processes to improve effectiveness of area of responsibility.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering.
3. Understanding of enterprise infrastructure technologies including cloud, network, database, storage, platform, computing, and middleware.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field or comparable IT experience is required
Six months or more experience in performing some form of IT function
Understanding of IT organizations and their functions, preferably financial services organizations
Ability to explain concepts related to enterprise software development lifecycle management
Ability to explain concepts related to software development, build/release management, & change/incident management
Achieved one of the Public Cloud Associate-level certifications
Basic understanding of Industry Cloud concepts and services such as but not limited to: XaaS, IAM, IAAA, Serverless, Disaster Recovery, DevOps, Server, Storage, and Networking
Experience with enterprise SDLC tools
Ability to work under pressure in high stress situations with a calm demeanor
Self-starter that demonstrates initiative and ability to work independently with little supervision
Ability to collaborate with teammates and ability to operate across organizational disciplines
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with ServiceNow development
