Job Summary

We are seeking a Systems Engineer at P2 level to manage and optimize AWS-based infrastructure, ensuring system availability, incident resolution, and continuous service improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and manage systems and infrastructure following established procedures and service levels to ensure reliable performance
  • Execute systems changes through formal change request processes and communicate status updates to stakeholders
  • Respond promptly to incidents, investigate root causes, and implement temporary or permanent resolutions while providing timely updates
  • Conduct root cause analysis and apply proactive measures to prevent recurrence, monitoring their effectiveness continuously
  • Monitor system performance and availability proactively, identifying and implementing corrective actions to enhance service quality
  • Track and document service levels such as system availability and service requests, maintaining accurate system configuration records
  • Plan and implement service continuity strategies including backup, restore procedures, and disaster recovery plans to support business operations
  • Provide technical advice related to systems to customers and project teams to support decision-making and problem-solving
  • Deliver on-the-job training and mentorship to junior engineers to build team capability and knowledge

Required competencies and certifications

  • AWS environment expertise with at least AWS Associate certification to support core cloud infrastructure management

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Networking knowledge supported by CCNA or Fortigate/Fortinet certification to enhance network operations
  • Experience with Redhat Linux and Terraform to support infrastructure automation and system management
  • Familiarity with Windows Server 2019 and backup infrastructure to support diverse system environments
