Cloud Kafka Engineer
You will design, develop and evolve cloud-based messaging systems with a focus on scaling and automation. You will take ownership of the Confluent Kafka deployment, identify bottlenecks, improve configurations and collaborate with other teams to tune applications. You will design, develop and test backup and disaster recovery processes, and build scalable, robust infrastructure aligned with best practices. You will promote engineering excellence through knowledge sharing and continuous process improvements.

Requirements
- 3+ years building and managing Kafka deployments
- Experience with Confluent Kafka is a plus
- Solid experience with AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, KMS)
- Expertise in Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, e.g. Terraform
- Experience deploying, maintaining and scaling cloud infrastructure in production
- Experience with other messaging solutions is nice to have
