Concentrix is looking for a highly skilled Cloud Solution Architect SQL+Fabric to help enterprise customers design, secure, optimize, and modernize their SQL Server environments across on-prem, Azure, and hybrid platforms.

In this role, you’ll lead architecture reviews, technical workshops, and high-priority escalations, using your deep expertise in SQL Server HA/DR, performance tuning, security, and Azure SQL platform design to solve complex business and technical challenges.

Scope & Positioning

  • Role type: Technical architect + trusted advisor
  • Primary focus: SQL Server (on‑prem, Azure, hybrid), HA/DR, security, performance, design reviews
  • Customer engagement level: Design authority, escalation engineer, workshop/delivery lead
  • Typical audience: Senior DBAs, Infra Architects, CISOs, Platform Owners


Qualifications:

Level 300 – Advanced CSA (Independent Delivery)

1. Core SQL Server Expertise (Mandatory)

Demonstrated mastery of:

  • SQL Server 2017–2025 (Windows & Linux)
  • Engine internals:
    • Storage engine, buffer pool, log architecture
    • TempDB internals & contention patterns
    • Query Optimiser behaviour (statistics, cardinality estimation)
  • Advanced T‑SQL (windowing, CTEs, dynamic SQL, performance patterns)

2. High Availability & Disaster Recovery

Hands‑on design and troubleshooting of:

  • Always On Availability Groups (single + multi‑subnet)
  • Distributed AGs
  • Failover Cluster Instances
  • Backup/restore topology (RPO/RTO driven)
  • DR validation & game‑day testing

3. Performance & Troubleshooting

Strong operational depth in:

  • Query Store, Extended Events, DMVs
  • CPU, memory, IO bottleneck analysis
  • Index strategy (filtered, columnstore, compression)
  • TempDB pressure diagnostics
  • Parameter sniffing & workload instability

4. Security & Identity

Enterprise‑grade SQL security design:

  • Authentication: Windows, Entra ID, contained users
  • gMSA / dMSA for SQL services (Windows)
  • Encryption: TDE, Always Encrypted, TLS hardening
  • Least‑privilege service & agent design
  • Auditing, SQL Vulnerability Assessment

5. Azure & Hybrid SQL

Ability to recommend and defend platform choices:

  • Azure SQL DB vs Managed Instance vs SQL on VM
  • Hybrid patterns (Arc‑enabled SQL, lift‑and‑shift vs refactor)
  • Network‑isolated (private endpoint) SQL designs
  • Cost and performance trade‑off analysis

6. Delivery & Communication

  • Lead L300/L350 workshops
  • Translate customer pain → Microsoft‑aligned solution
  • Write architecture decisions, risks & trade‑offs
  • Collaborate with Azure Architects & Security CSAs
