CNC Manufacturing Programmer & Precision Machinist

Job Type: Contract to Hire
Location: 1st Shift
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with Saturdays from 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM as needed (approximately 56 hours per week)
Starting Pay: $27.00/hour (Compensation may be higher based on experience.)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Manufacturing Programmer & Precision Machinist to support the production of industrial components and equipment. This position is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machining centers while producing precision parts that meet demanding quality standards.

The ideal candidate is experienced in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and precision machining, with a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes and milling machines
  • Develop machining programs from engineering and shop drawings
  • Produce precision components while maintaining tolerances as close as 0.0005 inch
  • Edit and troubleshoot CNC programs using G-code
  • Work with CNC controls including Fagor, Fanuc, Haas, and Heidenhain (experience with every control is not required)
  • Verify dimensions using precision inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and dial bore gauges
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional requirements
  • Follow all safety procedures while working in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
  • Maintain an organized work area and support efficient shop operations
  • Lift materials or components weighing up to 50 pounds when necessary
  • Maintain dependable attendance and work scheduled overtime, including occasional Saturdays
  • Required Qualifications

  • Experience programming and operating CNC machining equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, machining drawings, and technical specifications
  • Experience creating or editing CNC programs using G-code
  • Strong understanding of precision machining techniques and quality standards
  • Ability to consistently produce accurate, high-quality machined parts
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
  • Preferred Experience

  • Experience with Fagor, Fanuc, Haas, or Heidenhain CNC controls
  • Experience machining industrial equipment or custom manufactured components
  • Familiarity with precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, and dial bore gauges
