The CNC Tech is a member of the technical team involved in all aspects of the manufacturing process particularly in machine and moulid validation, new product introduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify causes of problems in production related to tooling and automation and carry out corrective actions to continuously improve OEE
- Repair extrusion tools and moulds and carry out preventive maintenance on tools in line with IATF16949 standard to ensure reliable performance
3.Carry out modifications to moulds and fixtures because of customer requested engineering changes and internal corrective actions to improve performance
- Test and check moulds and fixtures to ensure readiness for production and reliable performance
- Carry out inspection on new moulds and modify to correct any issues
- Writing and optimizing CNC programs to create complex parts and components
- Selecting the appropriate tools, machines and materials for each job
- Testing programs and adjusting ensure efficiency and quality
- Collaborating with engineering team to evaluate project requirements and resolve issues related to machine set up and programmed performance
- Maintaining records and documentation for machine specifications and programming notes
