Description:
This IT Developer will participate as an application developer in the Judicial Information System (JIS) project. The purpose of this project is to replace the current Themis system that maintains comprehensive organizational information about the judicial branch, and supports the Judicial Council of California (JCC) programs and business processes that depend on this information, such as the Assigned Judges program. The IT Developer, under the direction of the IT Developer Lead, will be responsible for developing the application components of JIS, including screens, report and front-end processes based on functional specifications. The IT Developer must ensure conformance of the components to the functional design specifications and standards. Specifically, the responsibilities of the IT Developer include:
• Equivalent to possession of a bachelor’s degree, preferably with major course work in computer science.
• 5+ years of experience developing complex, enterprise-wide applications using multiple web technologies, tools and languages.
• 5+ years of experience with relational database management systems including Oracle 12c, PL-SQL, stored procedures.
• 3+ years of experience in an n-tier or service-oriented architecture (SOA) environment.
• Proven track record of successfully developing complex, enterprise-wide applications.
• Demonstrated experience developing systems through the full life cycle of systems design and development.
• Excellent verbal, written, analytical and communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience adhering to project plans and schedules.
• Assumes complete ownership for their commitments and decisions and will work extra-effort to make up for activities which don’t go as planned.
Desired:
• Experience using application development tools, including CFBuilder, Clear Quest, Subversion, JIRA, and Toad.
• Knowledge of Unified Modeling Language (UML) tools and techniques.
