Collections Manager

Collections Manager to lead collections and dispute resolution across our global accounts receivable (“AR”) portfolio. This is a player-coach role: you will manage a team of collections analysts in Hyderabad while personally handling complex customer accounts and disputes, partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Professional Services, Customer Success, Billing/Revenue, and Legal to drive resolution and cash collection.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead end-to-end dispute resolution and case management on complex accounts: investigate root cause, build supporting packages for leadership review, and drive resolution through customer escalation and cross-functional.
  • Deliver weekly and monthly collections reporting, including key performance indicators (“KPIs”), aging analysis, dispute status, and customer-level cash collection forecasts that support Treasury and financial planning and analysis (“FP&A”).
  • Own collections data integrity across the enterprise resource planning (“ERP”) and customer relationship management (“CRM”) systems, including subledger-to-general- ledger reconciliation and at-risk customer flagging.
  • Recommend account-level reserve and write-off treatment in support of the monthly allowance for doubtful accounts under current expected credit losses (“CECL”) methodology, and support external audit and private equity (“PE”) sponsor reporting.
  • Strengthen AR processes, internal controls, and collections automation (dunning, payment reminders, workflow tools); build standard operating procedures (“SOPs”) and a dispute escalation matrix for the India collections function as it scales.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5 to 8 years of business-to-business (“B2B”) collections experience, preferably in software, software-as-a-service (“SaaS”), or technology services, with at least 2 years in a team lead, supervisor, or manager capacity.
  • Demonstrated expertise in dispute resolution and case management on complex, high- dollar receivables, including building escalation packages and navigating customer accounts payable (“AP”) and procurement organizations.
  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional resolution with Sales, Customer Success, Billing, and Legal counterparts, holding non-finance stakeholders accountable to commitments.
  • Hands-on operating experience with a modern ERP and CRM, plus advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, modeling) for aging analysis, forecast build-out, and reporting.
  • Track record on a complex collections portfolio with quantifiable improvement in DSO, aged AR, or bad debt.
  • Hyderabad-based, with willingness to work a shift that overlaps with either U.S. Eastern Time or Central European Time.

Bonus Points

  • Experience producing customer-level cash collection forecasts that support a Treasury or FP&A function.
  • Prior experience in a PE-owned or publicly traded company with cash conversion and sponsor reporting requirements.
  • Exposure to CECL reserve methodology or allowance for doubtful accounts.
  • Working fluency in Salesforce, Gong, and Outreach.
  • Working knowledge of Sage Intacct, Billtrust Collections, or comparable AR, ERP, or collections platforms.
  • Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency AR (USD, EUR, GBP).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline.
