Commercial Associate – Marine & Offshore
Job Summary:
The Junior Commercial Associate supports commercial functions in marine and offshore operations by assisting in cost tracking, document preparation, and internal coordination. This entry-level role focuses on internal processes and documentation, providing essential support to ensure smooth commercial workflows within project teams, with no direct client interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing internal pricing sheets, quotations, and tender documentation.
- Gather and compile technical and commercial data from various departments for project proposals and reporting.
- Maintain accurate records of commercial documents such as quotations, contracts, and cost breakdowns.
- Track project costs, delivery milestones, and progress reports for internal review.
- Conduct desktop research on suppliers, subcontractors, and market rates relevant to marine and offshore projects.
- Help monitor compliance with internal processes related to budgeting, procurement, and document control.
- Organize and update internal databases to ensure commercial information is accessible and current.
- Provide general commercial support to the team on day-to-day matters.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Business, Maritime Studies, Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
- Entry-level or up to 1 year of working experience in a marine/offshore environment preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Eagerness to learn commercial processes in a project-based industry.
- Strong teamwork and coordination skills.
