Commercial Executive

Responsibilities

  • Procure ocean freight rates (including tank container) from carriers and NVOCCs; prepare costings and competitive selling prices for RFQs and spot shipments.
  • Generate new sales by identifying and engaging prospective customers in the chemical, food-grade, and bulk liquid logistics sectors.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on RFQs and costing; respond promptly to customer calls, email queries, and complaints.
  • Manage quotations using the in-house CRM; maintain accurate customer records and proper filing systems.
  • Follow up on shipment status and escalate critical issues to the Commercial Manager – Tank Container Division.
  • Prepare daily documentation (contracts, quotations, reports) and operate in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform and manage sales transactions effectively from quote to booking confirmation.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
