HVAC Service Technician
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing commercial and light commercial HVAC systems. This position requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC equipment, including:
- Heat pumps
- Split systems
- Rooftop units
- Small chillers
- LG HVAC systems and VRF equipment
- Air handling units and associated controls
- Perform preventative maintenance and service inspections.
- Start up and commission HVAC equipment, including condensers and heat pump systems.
- Install, repair, and replace HVAC components as needed.
- Braze and solder copper refrigerant piping.
- Perform refrigerant recovery, evacuation, and charging procedures.
- Pull and verify system vacuums using proper industry practices.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Complete service reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in a clean and professional manner.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of HVAC service experience preferred.
- Experience servicing heat pumps, small chillers, split systems, and LG equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical, refrigeration, and mechanical issues.
- Proficient in brazing copper piping and refrigerant piping installation.
- Experience pulling vacuums, charging systems, and performing equipment startups.
- EPA Refrigerant Certification required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily service calls.
