Job Description\:

Work collaboratively with Business Development and Integrated Delivery teams to help shape new product strategies and commercial models, supporting routes to contract. In this cross-functional role, you’ll contribute to contract preparation, negotiation, drafting, and bid activity, gaining insight across a wide range of business areas and customers.

No two days are the same—expect variety, challenge, and teamwork. You’ll build a good professional network while developing your skills through a structured commercial development programme, designed to support your growth and success within a global, inclusive organisation.

Core duties\:

  • You will be reviewing and analysing contractual documentation such as Terms and Conditions and NDAs, identifying and communicating terms to stakeholders
  • Collaborating with Integrated Delivery Teams (IDTs) to shape responses for both new opportunities and evolving customer requirements
  • Interpreting financial data and understanding basic pricing models to support commercial decision-making
  • Assisting Procurement and Supply Chain teams in preparing sub-contract terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with head contract flow-downs
  • Supporting the Commercial Manager and Senior Commercial Manager in navigating and contributing to effective contract negotiations

Essential Skills\:

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience in a commercial role or customer-focused sector (e.g. defence)
  • Excellent communicator, able to interpret requirements and support clear, inclusive negotiation with customers and stakeholders
  • Experience working in customer or client-focused environments, building positive, collaborative relationships
  • Awareness of the commercial function and how it connects with wider business operations and objectives
